1. The service

Ridio is a book reader that generates AI illustrations (characters, scenes, relationship maps) from the text you read. These terms supplement Apple's standard EULA, which also applies.

2. Your books

You are responsible for the books you import: you must have the right to use them. The bundled classics are in the public domain.

3. Acceptable AI use

You agree not to attempt to generate objectionable content: sexual content involving minors, depictions of real people without consent or photorealistic ones, extreme graphic violence, or hate. Automated moderation is in place, and every image can be reported from within the app ("Report" button). Abuse may result in loss of access to generation.

4. Generated images

Illustrations are AI-generated fiction provided "as is": they may contain errors or inaccurate depictions. You may use them personally; any image can be deleted from the app.

5. Free tier, subscriptions and credit packs

Reading your books in Ridio is free. Generating AI illustrations requires an active subscription or a credit pack: there is no free allowance. Subscriptions (auto-renew monthly unless cancelled in Settings > Apple ID at least 24h before the period ends) and one-off credit packs are purchased through Apple; refunds follow Apple's terms. You can restore purchases from the paywall or Settings.

6. Service limits

Generation relies on third-party AI providers; outages, model changes or fair-use limits may occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ridio is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app or generated content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you hold as a consumer under applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the current version will be published here and substantial changes announced in the app.
